Exhibition of Italian High Craftsmanship

The first edition of the Salone dell’Alto Artigianato Italiano arrives in Venice, a unique event that celebrates Italian art and craftsmanship in the heart of the lagoon, the cradle of ancient crafts and know-how handed down over the centuries.
The first edition is held at the Tese delle Nappe and San Cristoforo of the Arsenale in Venice, ancient pavilions fully restored, spaces characterized by Istrian stone columns and large and very bright vaults, for a total surface area of 6,000 square meters to act as frame to the works of art exhibited by master craftsmen from all over Italy.
During the Salone, there is the opportunity to discover the best of know-how in various sectors ranging from paper to ceramics to precious fabrics, from blown glass works to precious stones, from jewelery to furniture, a privileged showcase to admire and buy a selection of high quality artifacts with an original design and an opportunity to meet the craftsmen, discover their history and the creative process behind the birth of each individual object.
Venice is the oldest city of the future, an enchanted place that has preserved its beauty and uniqueness over the centuries. The Arsenale of Venice, one of the symbols of the history of the Serenissima, is the ideal place to host the Salone dell’Alto Artigianato Italiano, offering a combination of history, art and culture on the traces of ancient crafts in a city that has known how to distinguish itself world-class for the excellence of its creations.

The Exhibition of Italian High Craftsmanship is promoted by the Municipality of Venice and organized by Vela S.p.a. as part of the project “Venice and its lagoon: management and enhancement of tourist flows” financed by the Ministry of Tourism for the enhancement of Municipalities with a tourist-cultural vocation in whose territories sites recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites are located.
