Artribune – Here are the most interesting corporate museums in the Veneto

cArte, Venice’s Diffused Museum of Paper and Printing, is a thematic itinerary celebrating the city as the historic capital of paper and printing. Even before the end of the 15th century, Venice was home to between 150 and 200 printing presses, producing approximately 15% of Europe’s printed titles, a percentage destined to grow to nearly half of continental production. The itinerary unfolds through five artistic craft workshops, each a true hub of the museum. Visitors can explore the workshops of Ca’ Macana, Carterìa ai Frari, Fallani Venezia, Itaca Art Studio, and Venezia Stampa, learn about the techniques, machinery, and materials used, and purchase works and objects made on-site. Each workshop maintains its own identity and, together, creates an itinerary that reveals little-known corners of Venice and tells a story of tradition, innovation, and local craftsmanship.
