ATLANTI | Textile Breaths

Widespread exhibition by Cristina Busnelli, Exhibition curated by Federica Preto
From April 14 to 27, 2026
On the occasion of Made in Italy Days, cArte | Venice’s Diffused Museum of Paper and Printing hosts ATLANTI | Textile Breaths, a multi-venue exhibition unfolding across the spaces and windows of five artisan workshops, transforming the city into a narrative of textures, materials, and memory.
The focus is on the work of Cristina Busnelli, a textile designer from Bassano del Grappa (VI), whose research intertwines gesture, material, and narrative, giving life to textile works that take the form of true interior landscapes.
“Atlanti” are not geographical maps, but sensitive territories: surfaces that record passages, breaths, and stratifications. Each fabric becomes an emotional geography, a fragment of the world that preserves traces of time and experience. The “textile breaths” evoke the slow, profound rhythm of artisanal work, where gestures are repeated and transformed, generating beauty and meaning.
The exhibition is embedded in the urban fabric of Venice, engaging with the places of paper and printing, and creating a bridge between languages and materials: from fiber to sheet, from texture to printed surface. A seamless journey invites visitors to lose themselves in the streets, entering the workshops and being guided by a narrative of details, materials, and visions.
An invitation to rediscover the value of know-how and contemporary design, where tradition and research meet, shaping new atlases of the present.
